    The "Room of well-being – RESOPAL® 2011>>" book

The Interzum show from 25 to 28 May 2011 in Cologne is providing Resopal GmbH with the ideal platform for presenting all the latest from its interior design expertise. This is documented in words and pictures in the new "Room of well-being – RESOPAL® 2011>>" book. In addition to numerous ways of designing feel-good rooms, one thing makes it stand out most: proof that all products come from a company that operates responsibly, bringing together economic, ecological and social disciplines on the same level.

The first few pages come as a surprise: they show children drawing what they imagine their future will be like, employees posing with their parents in front of the Resopal factory, grandparents showing photos of their work today and 40 years ago, pictures documenting how personal expectations on sustainability are accomplished. The new Resopal book exposes what's important to the company: the people behind the product. The company's philosophy, told as a story from the past, present and future, clearly illustrates that Resopal not only understands the feel-good room to be an architecturally created space but also as a space people like to live in.

"We assume responsibility for our staff, their families and the future of their children." This guiding principle from the company's philosophy, "Projekt M", runs throughout the entire publication and makes clear than one cog meshes with the next: the future of coming generations has to do with a secure livelihood and protecting the environment. This is why, above everything else, the book shows how Resopal supports the production of solar energy, that the company uses green electricity from waterpower plants and why it obtained certification under the stringent criteria of PEFC and FSC.

    Flush-fitting sinks and hobs

When sink, hob and company fit flush with the kitchen worktop, it's not only kitchen users and design purists who fall into raptures. Cabinet-makers, carpenters and kitchen manufacturers too benefit from being able to provide a flush fit on site easily, quickly and cleanly. This is made possible by the special structure of the "Resoplex" kitchen worktop. Its high product quality had earned manufacturer Resopal the "interzum award: intelligent material & design 2011".

Consisting of a 35 mm "AirMaxx" lightweight chipboard panel, a 3 mm phenol compact layer and a 0.7 mm Resopal surface, "Resoplex" can be prepared for fitting a stainless-steel or glass ceramic hob without metal frame using a conventional routing cutter.

Installation is so easy, fast and clean that it can be done on site. This saves the fitter the need to provide transport bracing normally required for components that come ready-fitted. And because of the "AirMaxx" lightweight chipboard panel, "Resoplex" also brings a noticeable weight reduction of up to 30 per cent over conventional chipboard, facilitating transportation and mounting.

Practising sustainability scores points in the Interzum Award

Interzum 2011 sees the premiere of an all-green interior-design product on an international stage. Named "RE-Y-STONE", it consists entirely of regenerative raw materials. Recycled core and decorative papers are saturated in a natural resin from sugars-production waste and then pressed in a special manufacturing process to leave a homogeneous bio-composite board. The judging panel of the "interzum award: intelligent material & design 2011" rated it "Best of the Best".

    Resopal re-launches its exhibition stand

Resopal is resolutely building on the potentials it has at its fingertips. At Interzum 2011, the exhibition stand produced entirely by company staff once again comes in the form of a honeycomb system providing the platform for presenting the latest products. Because the company won the ADAM award two years ago for brand and show-presentation excellence, this year's striking stand's not only expected to be a magnet for innovation chasers but also for interested stand constructors.

The association with nature's model created by bees is so obvious that the exhibition stand's symbolic power extends right through to the topics addressed by Resopal. It focuses on the idea of working together as a living expression of the company's "Projekt M" philosophy as well as the image of the honeycomb as a place for effectively creating and adding value. It is in this sense that the Resopal stand at Interzum 2011 serves as a hub where its interior-design products developed and perfected with exacting demands on innovation, design and sustainability meet in concentrated form on the "Resopal Rooming" principle. The optimum relationship between wall and space that make the honeycomb the ideal place to live in not least provides all Resopal products, both indoor and outdoor, with the best possible opportunity to interact and display their full potentials.
